October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Empire has joined forces with Judge Jeanine Pirro, of the Judge Pirro Show, to promote Empire’s National Day of Beauty.Judge Pirro hosts nationwide media tour promoting National Day of Beauty. Judge Pirro sits on the National Domestic Violence Hotline’s celebrity advisory board. She is helping Empire promote the National Day of Beauty to a nationwide audience.
Along with doing more than 20 interviews with television and radio stations around the country about Empire’s National Day of Beauty, Pirro is appearing with Empire Chairman and CEO, Frank Schoeneman in a new Public Service Announcement that will air throughout the country promoting the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The PSA is designed to further educate the public about this issue.
The NDVH is the nation’s non-profit organization that provides intervention, information and help to victims of domestic violence, families and friends. Over the last 15 years, the hotline has received more than two million calls from abused women and families in crisis. Judge Pirro, a well–known former Judge and District Attorney in NY and star of her own Emmy nominated court show “Judge Pirro” has been an advocate in the fight against Domestic Violence for nearly 30 years.
Empire’s National Day of Beauty, set for Saturday, October 9th, 2010 is a one-day, nationwide fundraiser, where all proceeds from Empire’s student salons will be donated to local shelters. To date, more than $250,000 has been raised to support local shelters and aid in the fight against domestic violence.
