Empire students and staff collect needed items for women’s shelters across the country.
March 11, 2014 – Empire Beauty Schools® across 21 states are collecting donations this month that will go directly to victims of domestic abuse. As part of the ‘Empire Gives Back’ campaign, each Empire Beauty School is collecting in-kind donations for their local anti-domestic violence program in their area.
Everything from food to clothes, to home cleaning supplies to beauty supplies are being collected at Empire’s 110 schools.
Empire Education Group, the parent company of Empire Beauty Schools, is headquartered in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and owns and operates beauty schools in 21 states.
“We are thrilled to be able to support these local programs making a difference in the communities throughout our footprint,” says Frank Schoeneman, Chairman and CEO of Empire Education Group. “Through the efforts of our Empire Gives Back campaign we are supporting thousands of women and children affected by domestic abuse. We are proud to be able to help these families rebuild their lives.”
To date, Empire Gives Back has raised more than $750,000 in cash and donations for women’s shelters across the country. Fundraisers throughout the year raise needed cash for these programs. Empire also offers educational endowments for shelter residents who wish to attend beauty school along with free beauty services to residents and their children.
Empire schools will continue to collect in-kind items through the end of March.
