The West Palm Beach Empire Beauty School celebrated a “going green” theme in additional to their 100 Days of Empire celebration and grand opening. The school also unveiled their eco-friendly design, which features the following:
Empire has also chosen eco-friendly product lines for student usage including Regis Designline PURE Results. The shampoos and conditioners are certified organic, coconut-derived, vegetable, rapeseed or babassu-derived, gluten, paraben and sulfate free, wild collected and are not tested on animals. Empire also used eco-conscious Jane Carter Solutions-Nourish line in student salons.
The West Palm Beach cosmetology school demonstrates its commitment to the environment in many ways including:
Additionally, the students and staff celebrated the green theme by hanging posters all over the school with eco-conscious sayings such as: check the air in your tires to save gas, put coffee in a reusable cup, close your blinks to keep your home warm. The school also had a display of flowers throughout the school but used recycled water bottles instead of vases and other pots to display the flowers. In addition to the green theme, the school also became green certified through FAB PRO (Florida Association of Beauty Professionals.) The FAB PRO Green Conscious Certification is intended to identify those businesses that are implementing procedures, technology and practices that are eco-friendly.
The West Palm School also presented a donation of $1,000 to Suzanne Turner, CEO of YWCA of Palm Beach County. The West Palm school established this relationship as an ongoing effort to give back to the community. The West Palm school will continue this relationship with the local YWCA and continue to raise money and donate other charitable services through Empire’s National Day of Beauty Program.
Mayor Lois J. Frankel for the city of West Palm Beach was also on hand at the event to welcome the current students, as well as Goldwell Platform Artist John Simpson. Simpson offered the students a guests a glimpse at the upcoming trends for hair this season.
Empire has made a commitment towards green growth and is optimistic that it can make a meaningful reduction in its environmental footprint. As the company continues to grow, all new school facilities will be designed in the same environmentally-sensitive way as the West Palm Beach Empire Beauty School.
