The new facility brings multiple benefits to the community, quickly adding new jobs while training the next generation of beauty professionals, enabling them to pursue their dream careers in the future.

The new 11,000 sq. ft. beauty school features the innovative curriculum and state-of-the-are teaching technologies for which Empire Schools are known, offering Avondale students a truly first rate education in cosmetology and the opportunity to get their start in an industry that is growing rapidly.

“Empire Education Group has a thriving business in Arizona and we are so thrilled to see that business grow with the addition of our new school in Avondale,” says Franklin K. Schoeneman, Empire’s CEO and Chairman. “We offer students and top quality education in cosmetology and the skills to launch successful careers. Empire also has a strong tradition of commitment to supporting the communities in which our schools are located and we are delighted to bring that part of our culture to Arizona.”

“We are very pleased that our new Avondale location will open with a starting enrollment more than double the size of an average class in typical new Empire schools. After opening our Paradise Valley school less than a year ago, and soon expanding another of our current schools in Phoenix, we are very well positioned to serve the needs of the thousands of aspiring future cosmetologists in the Valley,” stated Joseph Carretta, Senior Vice President, Operations.

The elegant and modern facility has a custom-built student salon. Unique features include versatile “pipe less” European pedicure stations (designed for ultra sanitary operation); cultured stone counters with a pass-through towel shampoo, and European backwash stations. High-end architectural designs are throughout the school including floors made of Brazilian porcelain tile, stylish work stations and unique lighting fixtures.

In addition to Empire’s new school, the company is transitioning eight Arizona Artistic Beauty Colleges over to the Empire brand name. An additional 21 schools are also scheduled to transition to the Empire Beauty School brand during the calendar year. In transitioning to the Empire name, each of these eight schools will benefit from many important upgrades in the quality of the curriculum, electronic TeamBoard technology, and hands-on educational materials making it possible for students to benefit from best possible learning experience. Empire’s proprietary education system is specially designed for creative individuals who learn better by seeing and doing, rather than simply reading standard cosmetology textbooks.

Empire is investing in over 3.5 million dollars in extensive renovations and physical improvements for the eight f

rmer Artistic Beauty Colleges. This includes updating equipment, new interiors in all schools and an expansion of the northwest Phoenix school from 6000 to 17000 sq ft.

The schools will also benefit from the support that the Empire Education umbrella provides, including vast resources available to the students and teachers in each of its 87 schools across the country. Empire Education Group’s Home office provides nationwide job placement assistance, financial assistance, curriculum development, alumni outreach, and a number of other student services.

With this best-in class support system, the staff at the eight schools can now focus on the most important aspect of all-teaching.
