Dunwoody Cosmetology Students Take Home First Place & 300 Weaves

Empire’s Dunwoody, GA, beauty school participated in The Outre Community Hair Show in Downtown Atlanta for professional and student stylists, and took home first place plus 300 complimentary weaves.

Outre, one of the leading weave manufacturers in the world with brands such as Premium New Yaki, Premium Duby and Velvet Remi, hosted the hair show for students and professional stylists.

Empire Beauty School students from Dunwoody took center stage in showcasing their skills and talents.  The themes for the competition were “styles over the decades” and “outer space.” Empire Dunwoody competed against Proway Hair School and Esanni Institute students for the first place prize.

In addition to their first place honor, the Dunwoody students took home 300 packs of hair (weaves) for practice.  The students will also participate in an outreach program through Outre, volunteering their services to give back to the community and exploring their creativity.

Several students were also part of a recent in-store promotion for the organization. Outre held a photo shoot for the students and posted their pictures on their site, as well as a link to the Empire web site.
