How to Look Flawless All the Time

by Katie Schenk

When you’re busy, it’s difficult to find the time for all the extras – like hair masks and contouring makeup. But, a few minutes a day is really all you need to appear flawless… (almost) all of the time. Of course, this isn’t the routine you’ll follow when headed out for a night on the town; but it will get you out the door looking incredible!

Cleaning and Moisturizing

You should be washing and moisturizing your face twice a day, every day. You can add moisturizer more often if you like. But, just don’t over-wash your face as you may dry it out. That said, you really do need to make sure not to skip this step. Your face comes into contact with too much dirt and free radicals for you to skip washing.

Brows and Lashes

Find the right shape for your brows and stick to it. Every couple of days, take a look for a hair that’s stepped out of line and tweeze it. Your brows say a lot more about you than you may think. A minute or two spent with your eyelash curler will do more for your overall appearance than mascara and eyeliner. Get in the habit of using yours daily, but be careful – you don’t want to yank out those precious lashes.

Concealer Counts

A good concealer will make sure you always appear well-rested and healthy. You don’t want to appear gaunt or tired. Even when you’re on a budget, don’t skimp on the right concealer.  A professional will match the perfect color for your skin tone.

BB Cream Is a Lifesaver

You can skip the foundation as soon as you find the perfect BB cream for you. If you really want to save time and appear flawless, look for a cream with sun protection. There’s a reason the world is in an uproar about these creams, isn’t it time you invested?

Blush that Looks like a Flush

Blush helps you appear natural and radiant. To find the best color for you, pinch your cheeks while standing in front of the mirror at the makeup counter. Match the product to your rosy cheeks and you’ve got the right one. Don’t be afraid to use it every morning, blush is one of those underappreciated products you don’t want to skip.

Teeth and Lips Are Important

You shouldn’t be reminded to brush your teeth twice a day. But, sometimes, it’s just too easy to slip into sleep, skipping this essential. Don’t! While your body repairs itself overnight, any food caught between your teeth can go to work yellowing and rotting them. Lip balm is another essential. Apply it constantly – before bed, first thing in the morning, before lipstick, instead of lipstick… you name it. A healthy smile is always attractive. And, it’s essential to completing your flawless appearance.
