How does Empire Beauty School change lives?
If you have considered Empire Beauty School, you may be thinking about a career in cosmetology. Cutting, coloring or styling hair are all some of the most popular cosmetology careers you can consider. Other students go on to own a salon or do make-up professionally. Recently, it’s been very apparent that Empire Beauty School changes lives. Have you heard the story of how?
When Empire was founded in 1935, the first school opened in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. A rural, farming based town, the Schoeneman family realized there was a need within the community to provide opportunity to students. A cosmetology school would allow students to develop careers that could substantially benefit their lives.
Today, Empire has grown to over 120 locations in 22 states. The impressive part isn’t how many schools the Empire family includes, it’s actually the students, with the support of Empire, that accomplish incredible feats every day to earn their cosmetology licenses. Starting with their cosmetology education, students are able to excel in a beauty career.
Recently, a school director told the story of a student who was under going kidney dialysis. The only day of class he ever missed? He was in the hospital. Another director was impressed by a woman who was living out of her car. She went on to finish her cosmetology degree and become a salon manager. Others have children to support, so they work full time while completing their studies. Many go on to enjoy a flexible, stable career in the cosmetology field.
At any rate, education changes lives. Empire Beauty School uses cosmetology education to help students find a career they love. How about you? Did a degree in beauty change your life? We’d be so very proud to hear how you achieved your dreams despite the odds. Go YOU!
