What Our Students Are Saying
OUR STUDENT KIT
Watch the video below to learn more about the student kit. For more information see our student kit overview blog post.
Cosmetology is the study of beautification—the practice of providing makeup, skin, nail, and hair services. Cosmetologists study the most recent advances in hair care, skin care, and makeup techniques. They help clients achieve their beauty and styling goals and can assist in maintaining the general health of the skin and hair. Services can include hair cutting, styling, cosmetic applications, and basic skincare treatments.
Licensed cosmetologists are able to offer services across the beauty industry, including hairstyling, skincare treatments, and makeup. Some schools have more specialized licensure requirements for estheticians or skin care specialists.
Cosmetologists may perform several different services throughout their day, depending on their role. If your focus is hairstyling and cutting, you may still work with clients that require the latest coloring, cuts and styles, as well as curling, weaves, extensions, or other hair services.
Also, some licensed professionals choose to pursue careers in the beauty industry as beauty magazine editors or consultants, while others become sales or marketing specialists in the cosmetics industry. Still others go on to teach beauty school and pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation. The choices really are endless and new opportunities for professional cosmetologists in many different career sectors.
A Student must meet the state minimum age requirement to enter school (if applicable) and must submit the following:
**All incoming Empire Beauty School students must attend an orientation which will be held prior to the start of the program. The Empire Beauty School Cosmetology program length will vary depending on your states required hours for licensure. Subjects include haircutting, hair coloring, facials, makeup, manicuring, salon management and much more. Upon completion of the program, the Student is qualified to take the state licensing exam. Upon successful completion of state licensing requirements, the student may seek employment as an entry-level licensed cosmetologist.
Tuition rates vary by program and state requirements. Students will be given tuition rates when inquiring about admission to the Empire Beauty School of their choice.

Revive your passion to help others through a career as a professionally trained Esthetician. Empire Beauty School will educate you on the latest trends in esthetics and skin care where you can work virtually anywhere including:
FIND A SCHOOL
WHAT YOU
WILL LEARN
Facials
The Empire Beauty School esthetics program includes facial treatment education. A facial treatment is a skin-care service involving a series of deep cleansing and nourishing therapies to the skin of the face and neck. While in esthetics school, students learn the process and tools involved with facial treatments.
Waxing
Beauty school students in the esthetics program also learn about several hair removal procedures, including waxing. Empire Beauty School cosmetology students learn about the tools and methods involved with waxing. Students also get training in safety as well as other hair removal methods.
Makeup Artistry
The art of makeup is the ability to enhance facial features, cover and diminish flaws or imperfections as well as create dramatic effects for special occasions. Esthetics students at Empire Beauty School will learn the core principals needed to become skin and makeup professionals.
Training to become an esthetician usually takes an average of 600 hours in most states, but this does vary from state to state.
Becoming an esthetician requires specialized training at an Esthetics school, or a cosmetology school with skin care specialist training programs. Students complete skin care training with experienced instructors by studying theory through textbook learning and in-class lectures, then practicing the techniques on mannequins and fellow students in the classroom, and later in your program, on real clients in a student salon or spa setting.
There is also training about safety and sanitation training involved. Students are expected to know and follow state laws for safety procedures in the salon setting, particularly if you or the client were to sustain an injury of some kind. Once you've completed your training at the school, you will then need to take (and pass) the state licensing exam.
It depends. Some programs are eligible for financial aid assistance if they are over 300 hours; however, it is important to ask the school you are planning to attend. They can give you the right information for that particular program.
These are just a few examples of jobs an esthetician can hold:
A professional esthetician should be able to work well with their hands, and be kind and have an approachable manner. Estheticians must be comfortable working with clients one-on-one. They should have the ability to make the customer feel relaxed.
Estheticians should be knowledgeable about their clients skin care needs, as well as which products would work well with their skin types. A professional esthetician should also be educated and informed on product interactions and the latest products and techniques for all skin types.
CAMPUS SAFETY
At Empire Beauty School, the health and safety of our students, educators, staff, and guests are our top priority. We are diligently maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for all who enter the doors of our facilities.
