The power of a Big Change haircut
Miley Cyrus got a lot of ink (do we still say that when it is all on the web, no ink?) for her new haircut. That is to be expected. When a celebrity makes that big haircut change we eat it up.
When you make that big change it changes the way the world sees you. It also changes the way the world looks from the inside of your new bangs. Your close friends and family will notice. You likely will not end up on the front cover of every magazine at the grocery checkout lane. That is O.K. The biggest changes just might be the ones in how you see yourself and how you see the rest of the world.
Cutting off a large amount of hair removes the weight from your world, literally and figuratively. A big change haircut returns bounce to your hair and spring to your step. There is a physically freeing feeling to shedding your old covering. The psychological feeling is similar. The smile on the face of the photo of the new big change haircut tells that story quite well.
Changing your hair in a big way changes your look, and your outlook. As a cosmetology professional you have the opportunity to be the agent of that change for your clients. You also carry the responsibility to make those changes yourself to lead by example.
Go to the Empire facebook page and post your before and afters. Not just the ones you create for clients. Post the one of your hair when you make your next big change. We love to see the change. We want to hear how it changes your life beyond just your look. If you have seen me recently my hair is longer than usual. Stay tuned. My big change hair cut is coming soon, too.
