Nick Arrojo is a master of beauty: He has accomplished an incredible amount in the beauty industry. As a teacher, mentor and successful salon owner, he’s truly a beauty career icon. Most impressive, he became Assistant Creative Director of Vidal Sassoon at just 21. He simply loved cutting hair and followed his passion. You have probably heard his name associated with the hit TV show What Not to Wear. Maybe you’ve attended one of his Master of Beauty seminars throughout the country to get a certification. If you haven’t been tuned in lately, here are few websites you can check out.
First, Nick Arrojo has a salon accurately named “Arrojo Studios.” He’s based out of the SoHo area of New York City. (His wife, Swayze Arrojo, who gave birth to twins in February 2010, also works at the salon.) You’ll notice Nick has a very impressive staff working under him. The price points are also provided for his services. If you took a peak at our article ‘Mom, I want to open a beauty salon: What to Expect’ you can see how all those pieces tie together for a master of beauty like Nick.
Nick recently launched a product line named Arrojo as well. The products are sold online and in his salon. You’ll see everything from hair styling wax to candles for your home. Oh, and there’s a book. Great Hair was written as an image guide for women. It lets women know how to make the best of their hair based on their hair texture, face shape and lifestyle. Sound familiar? Yup, those are just some of the things you learn at beauty school.
Finally, Nick is a mentor. He’s teamed up with Empire Beauty School to offer Master of Beauty classes. You might check out his very impressive schedule of classes where you’ll see exactly what he’s teaching. Once you complete beauty school and obtain your cosmetology license, you might decide you want to master a particular technique or skill. That’s exactly what these classes are designed for.
