The Reading school is lead by Executive Director Tracy Hess-Ferro, who recently took over for Jennifer Crawl, now a Regional Director with Empire.
“We have an alumni base of 100,000 graduates. But it’s not about the numbers,” said Empire Chairman and CEO, Franklin K. Schoeneman. “It’s about the people behind the numbers. The students are the most important people in our world. Those being honored today really understand that. It is what makes them and their school successful.” The Award for Executive Director of the Year went to Marcus Jackson of Empire’s Dunwoody, GA campus. Regional Director of the Year went to Kevin Shackles, who oversees 9 Empire schools in eastern Pennsylvania.
Mr. Schoeneman personally handed out two Chairman’s Excellence Awards. Mary Rose Tonkin, Vice President of Student Accounts Services and Ruth Ann Richard, Executive Director at Empire’s Shamokin Dam, PA campus each received the honor based on their proven and unwavering commitment to Empire students.
