The competition was judge based on best Michael Jackson performance, hair, makeup and attire.
The Manitowoc Empire Beauty School celebrated their event with a Mardi Gras theme. The students hosted a team competition. Each team was made up of four students, as they were judged on hair, dress and makeup. The winning team received a lunch party and a dress down week. The Appleton Empire Beauty School students participated in an up-do competition as well, to go with their Red Carpet theme, and held a fashion show at the school.
